Did I do something wrong?

I know this problem is stupid but I really don't know what to do.When I was on birthday,one boy criticized me all the time when we're playing some stupid game on psx saying that I'm hopeless.That day I was really nervous and I was taking everything personally so I said that I must go home and I left.Now his friend is very angry at me.He said it was annoying,I was really usefull,I'm a coward because I escaped.Now he don't know why I don't talk to him. He don't know why cause he think that what he said-it was just true.Sorry for my english
