I am going on a water sports trip and need tips on what to do with my hair?

My hair is VERY frizzy when i don't straighten it, so as i am going on a watersports trip and we go out in the evening, i was looking at some portable gas stylers to take with me as there are few plug sockets at the camp sight, but i don't know wether they will work or not. Does anybody have any recomendations about what to get? Or any ideas how to make my hair look nice when we go out? As in the day time i will just tie is up and will want a change when we go to the club :) thank-you for any help :)
