Is calor gas (LPG) dangerous?

If i were to use a portable gas heater in my bedroom (unvented) overnight, would it burn all the oxygen in the room and kill me? My heater has an Oxygen Detector System (ODS) and according to the instructions it will shut down when the oxygen level gets low (18%), so it should be safe shouldn't it!!!
