Turkish people stare....?

Over the summer i went to turkey to visit my brother who lives there with my family. We are from oklahoma by the way. And i noticed that all the men their stare at me, the women don't, just the men. My mom has brown hair, my dad has blondish hair, and my sister has blonde hair, but i have naturally auburn red hair. And i was the only one getting stared at. Was it because of my hair or because i just looked like i was from a different country. I can understand just staring at some one, but some men were whistling at me and winking, and they just stared, like on the trams in istanbul, it's really packed on them, and i would be squeezed in between people, and one man tried to feel up my skirt i was freaking out, i wanted outta there. Don't get me wrong, i love turkey, and i would love to live there one day because the people are just so nice and the culture and landscape is beautiful, but i am just curious as to why they were staring and doing those things.
